Currently all foreigners are banned from entering Malaysia until further notice. Visa issuance is suspended and any individual traveling to Malaysia must have specific approval from the Malaysia Immigration Department before obtaining a visa.
Fill out Malaysia tourist e-visa application form online
and provide digital copies of the following documents:

Passport. Upload clear, colored copy of the information pages of your valid, signed passport including the bio-page.

Photo requirements. Digital photo of 50 x 35mm, white background, no border/frame, no scan photos are allowed.

Proof of status. Copy of valid Australian Resident Return visa or other proof of resident status (such as valid Work or Student visa, Authority to Return, Return Endorsement, or Certificate of Evidence of Residence Status). Electronic visa holders should submit a copy of Australian entry record or residency confirmation issued by DIAC.

Hotel Reservations. Hotel booking with the applicant's name and details of the hotel or Letter of Invitation signed by the host along with the passport copy and visa/id of the country, if applicable.

Itinerary. Return flight tickets including the applicant´s name.

Birth Certificate. Copy of the Birth certificate for minor applicants.
